How does one possibly live up to their grandmother, when their
grandmother is Grace Kelly? Well, becoming a long-standing muse for a
major fashion house is one way to go. Charlotte Casiraghi- daughter
of Princess Caroline of Monaco, new mother of one, journalist, model,
and equestrian ambassador of Gucci- has nabbed one more title: the face of Gucci
Cosmetics’ first ever collection. While the 27-year-old royal is no
stranger to the camera representing a much-anticipated makeup collection launch is
an honor—and, we suspect, worth the wait. Photographed by Mert Alas and Marcus
Piggott, and with a digital film directed by Fabien Baron, the campaign
for the Gucci Cosmetics collection captures Casiraghi posing as the
heart, soul, spirit, and perfect cheekbones of Gucci. Casiraghi is a long-time friend of Gucci as its official equestrian
ambassador and already appears in Gucci’s ‘Forever Now’ ad campaign, with iconic flora motif as the heart of the brand.
The campaign starring Casiraghi will be unveiled during the launch
of the Gucci Cosmetics collection this September in selected countries.
The line includes Gucci Eye, Gucci Face, Gucci Lip, Gucci Nail, along
with luxurious brushes and preparation products for skin.
